Settling In

Its far from completely set up, but we're well underway with making it feel like home. We've filled up the kitchen, got a beautiful new table and a cozy couch.  Shelves and pictures were hung, Star Lights installed and huge progress made on the bunk room!

Also had a gorgeous couple of days out there so I'll share some pics of that as well.

Moving Day!

At long last, we received our C/O - albeit a temporary one at this point.  Still, we were able to  move things in and make it feel much more like home, and complete.  Still work to be done, but a huge hurdle overcome!

It Feels So Close!

This week the big progress was the counter-tops and sink.  It made a huge difference in the ever progressing feeling of completion.
Thanks to Pop, the stairs and beams have all been oiled and finished... and look great!
Upper cabinets went in and look good... even with the protective film left on the fronts.  :)
The decking is finished and now are just waiting on the railing!
Doors have been hung - which may be my favorite part so far.  Love these doors!

Getting Closer...

Decking is almost complete.  

Door frames are in and doors ready to be installed (as soon as trim is painted). 

Upper Cabinets are built and will be installed this week. 

Lower cabinets are all in and drawer and cab fronts painstakingly adjusted.

Beams are now exposed!

...and we even got and up close visit from an Eagle!!!

Filler

Since I don't have much in the way of update photos, I figured I'd put up a comparison that was rather striking.  This is the difference six days of work showed.  A lot of work, but a very impressive show of progress!

We spent a week out at 11 PC with a whole crew that worked their tails off.  From painting to cabinet building to laying bamboo flooring. There was much work done. Thanks to everyone.  It wouldn't have come nearly as far without each of you. We topped the week off with an appropriate bottle of bubbly.
