The Current Project

For the last few trips out, I have been working on getting the basement ready to finish up: framing, wiring for power and A/V, and most recently, insulating.  After all that was done... a thorough cleaning!  The basement is looking great! all cleared out with the exception of a large beam, and an even larger pop machine.  Drywall and heating come next.  Let's hope its not too hard to work around a pop machine!
Here are a couple of pictures of the "finished" basement.  Also a picture or two of the chase built on the back side of the main beam that will allow all of the plumbing, wiring and heating lines to be hidden from view.

A Little Refresher

Its been far too long since I've posted any updates to the house, so wanted to catch up by putting together a few pictures taken on a beautiful winter day in Brinnon. (Would have been a perfect day had the Huskies found a way to win the Fiesta Bowl, alas...)

Stairs and Firepit

It only took six months but we now have stairs! This, along with the entry and firepit completes our exterior hardscapes. It also makes everything else feel much more finished.  Despite having the house, itself substantially complete for some time now, the exterior had left a feeling of incompleteness.  It feels much better now!
